Volunteer seagrass seed bag packers

Event date:  Sunday 28 November and Sunday 5 December, 2021

Event time:  Between 10am and 5pm

Event location:  National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth

About the event

Our restoration lead – Ocean Conservation Trust – is preparing to plant a further half hectare of seagrass seeds in Plymouth Sound. We’re seeking volunteers to join us at the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth for seed bag packing. You’ll need to dedicate just a few hours to help with bag packing and engaging visitors to the Aquarium. We’re aiming to pack 10,000 biodegradable hessian bags with seagrass seeds ready for deployment. Around your volunteering session, you’ll have free entry to the Aquarium.

By helping in this way, you’ll be contributing to England’s largest seagrass restoration effort. Find out more about our restoration work.
